I believe we already had the pleasure before, back then it was about the bathroom of our condominium (new build)
Maybe a brief explanation, without making a big deal out of it:
We bought a new build apartment last year. After it was ready to move in, it flooded with water and has been uninhabitable since.
This purchase has now been reversed, so we need a new property within a short time (because of the loan).
Regarding the heating, we don’t see a problem. There is underfloor heating installed throughout the apartment. There are also three heating circuits for the living room. We still need to clarify to what extent these can be separated. Although with underfloor heating, you usually set the same temperature everywhere to maintain a constant temperature, right?
(So far we had a completely normal heating system)
For the drywall, we would decide on a double-planked wall with insulation so that soundproofing should also be possible (thickness 15 cm).
Since we currently live in a 2.5-room apartment and have already designed the living room open to the office, we know that only a closed office is an option for us.
I am currently not pregnant and children are planned in 2-3 years.
There is also the option to accommodate the child in the bedroom. We are currently planning to separate it there as well with a drywall to create a dressing room in the anteroom first.
The dressing room would then give way if offspring arrives and the child’s room would be located there.
The man could then stay in the office at the front.
Of course, there is no perfect solution. But the main criteria do match for the apartment:
Raised ground floor
Two-family house
Spacious bathroom
Great location
Side street
Covered balcony with 25 sqm
Separate kitchen with access to the balcony
Disadvantage:
East-facing balcony
Currently still 2 rooms
It is a raised ground floor apartment, so I don’t believe the west sun would shine in the TV area then.
