Anyone else have an idea? Currently, we have these two options. In the 2nd option, the office gets bigger, but we might be cutting off the possibility of using the fireplace.
I would, if anything, tend towards V1, but place the dining table close to the kitchen, so where the TV is currently marked. The couch in the "rearmost" corner, probably against the slanted wall, which in my opinion could be even more slanted.
So you would tend towards this option? Although I would currently swap the sofa and the TV because I find it simply nicer when you come in and can walk openly towards the sofa.
Disadvantage: no light from the left for the sofa.
I am generally unsure where to place the sofa because of the big evening.
We can't put the wall at a greater angle because on the wall to the right of the left window is the switch for the roller shutter.
About your suggestion to swap the TV with the dining table:
Right now, it's important for us to have the dining area by one of the window fronts, because we want the dining area to be bright.
Usually, you only sit on the sofa in the evening, so it doesn’t need as much light.
May I ask what you generally think about the slanted wall?
Is it "annoying"?
But it's not dark at the balcony door?.. I find an exit by the sofa more than disadvantageous. And the distance between TV and sofa is also too far. Well, and the way to the dining table, which - mind you - is pretty cramped there... the person sitting bottom left on the plan can't get out of their seat at all, and the one by the fireplace can't even sit down. Personally, I only find a slanted wall good if you highlight the slantedness, so then gladly slanted and not almost slanted.
