Fitting 3 rooms in a 40 sqm living room. Ideas

Earlier, the sketch fell into my hands again and I got the idea to do the living room on the left side (that is, by the upper left window front) and place the table as you suggested to the left of the balcony.

Small office with an additional room divider might still be an option. Additional reading nook at the top of the plan and a certain coziness develops at the bottom, I think.

No .. that just creates a bunch of tiny sections. And a fireplace wouldn't be usable like that either, especially since it would probably be more difficult to get TV connections in the middle of the room.

No .. you end up with a bunch of mini sections.

This is anyway the case with the division and the creation of this mini office in my opinion. The whole idea of partitioning the office destroys this wonderful room. So far I find every suggestion here horrible, including my own. But simply because the best room in the entire apartment is being ruined.

That will certainly be a problem. But shouldn't the entire floor be renewed?

I am thinking more of just laminate over the tiles ..

I like Yvonne's suggestion best, it simply leaves the room generous and gives the sofa the position of a "retreat option"

I also find the room very difficult to furnish without an office. In my opinion, a dilemma of almost square rooms.

Thanks for the visualization

All the tiles will be removed and parquet flooring will then be installed.
We also know that it is not easy.
But we will find a solution ;-)
