Hello,
thank you very much for the opinions.
We are currently also leaning more towards variant B, as we are increasingly able to come to terms with the orientation towards the garden and the cozier living area.
It is actually the case that due to the position of the stove on the ground floor, the hallway on the upper floor is designed to be so "compact"
=> the fireplace is located directly behind the bedroom door on the upper floor (it is not shown on the plan)
If the position of the fireplace is changed, the hallway on the upper floor could also become larger
- one option is to place the fireplace on an exterior wall (well aware that this is not an ideal place for a fireplace)
=> another disadvantage is that this would leave even less space for a cabinet/sideboard in the living room (this already worries me a little)
We have also considered a door from the hallway directly to the kitchen, but initially discarded the idea again because we were not sure how much space the kitchen would need.
Do you see any other options if, for example, the external dimensions of the house are changed (currently 9 x 11m)?
=> we want to consider all options before taking a more "radical" approach and, for example, dropping the additional study/guest room on the ground floor
We are still planning a basement; the knee wall should be around 1.20 m (with a roof pitch of about 42 degrees).
: What exactly might not work with the guest WC (including shower)?
Thank you.
