That works if you like an L-shaped room that is 2m wide on one side and 3m wide on the other side. But 99.99% of home builders can’t do anything with that. Neither can I.

If you seriously want to know what is possible, you need a structural engineer and an architect. For initial ideas of what might work, we need the current floor plans and an overview of the neighboring plots (keyword building boundaries).

To assess whether this makes sense compared to demolition, again the current floor plan would be necessary and your requirements profile for rooms and use.

Without that info from you, we CAN only answer here as does.

Counter question: what exactly of the old house will still remain afterwards? If for your homework no answers can be found in grandpa's folders, you can also inspect the building file at the building authority and have copies made from it. THEN we can tell you what’s possible.

No, because of the structural engineering. The floor slabs rest on the exterior walls, so you can't just remove them. The exterior walls generally have to stay. Door openings would still be possible so that you can get into the extension with the 2m hose room. With a lot of money, of course, it could be done, if you had a listed facade or something like that, but tearing down and rebuilding is the way you want to go and also the cheapest way for what you have planned. Have you already bought the property or is it the inherited one from your other thread? If plots are not yet scarce in your region, it might be cheaper to switch to a vacant plot without any existing buildings. You would have to get quotes for the demolition and compare with other plots.
