Just very briefly, since I don’t want to hijack the thread too much: It certainly would have been nice but would have blown the budget. The house was altered in the 50s and 60s (hence also the concrete in the arches). At that time, a reinforced concrete ceiling was inserted. It practically runs from the inside against the arches. That’s why frosted glass is used there. In the raw state, it looked like this:
Theoretically, everything can be changed, but at this point it’s practically excluded. (Things like the fact that we couldn’t set up a crane make certain things even more complicated.)
From the inside, it feels exactly right.
