I see the living room corner as the biggest criticism with you, maybe one could consider moving the wall between the living room and the office by the width of the cupboard, so that the living room gains more space and placing the couch on the other side of the wall and the TV next to the large window front in the corner. Then the short side of the sofa would be facing the TV but offers space for 2-3.

A terrace roof is planned and budgeted to counteract the greenhouse character.

I also like the floor plan from ivenho very much, but basically different with a straight staircase. With a straight staircase and access to the basement, I did not manage a good floor plan.

We are slowly but surely getting used to swapping the living room and the kitchen. The glass sliding door would move along with the kitchen. Possibly, a sliding door combined with a fixed-glass element would also look good.

The kitchen island would need to be reduced by about 20cm. In this proposal, the kitchen island would be parallel to the dining table. I personally would have liked a right angle between the island and the dining table better. The kitchen would now have no direct access to the terrace. We could live with the disadvantages. The living room would definitely gain coziness.

I would want to move the wall between the kitchen and the work area; a depth of 40cm should be sufficient for a filing cabinet.

Do you see any further potential for optimization on the ground floor?

In option B, the sofa would be placed in the center of the room. But I'm not really a fan of that...

And I'm not a fan of always placing furniture in front of floor-to-ceiling windows or sliding doors. Then I might as well save myself the trouble.... Swapping kitchen/living room definitely makes sense. I don't want to miss having the kitchen next to the terrace anymore. Why not just have the couch like in V1 and reconsider the sliding door? Nobody goes out there anyway... ;)

We have the particularity that we will have a relatively large plot of land for at least the next 10 years. The plan is to sell part of it after 10-15 years. Therefore, it is important to us to be able to access both sides of the garden. The terrace should be built facing SW / at the bottom of the plan. Attached is the site plan again...
