Thanks for the note about the standard sizes, I will bring it up with the general contractor in the next round. I had hoped that at the latest during the energy consulting as part of KFW 55, an unnecessarily thick wall thickness would be recognized and possibly adjusted.
I have been thinking further and considered two variants. Since a revision through the general contractor is too cumbersome for me, I spent a little crafting time this evening.
Variants A and B have a couch, TV, TV sideboard, and extendable dining table drawn to actual size. Both variants now have a house width of 12 meters, the kitchen bay window disappears. I moved the office/home office to the basement. I am still wondering what a partition between the hallway (below the half-landing stairs) and living/dining area could look like.
I imagine a single glass sliding door almost 2m wide to be too heavy. Two elements of 90 cm each that then run on 2 rail systems and disappear into the wall on the left side would be one option. Or two swing doors, but then a door would be somewhat disruptive in the room when open. Maybe someone has another idea... From gut feeling, I would guess this door would be open most of the time, but not always. Still, I don’t want to miss it.
In variant A, I swapped living room and kitchen and thought of low windows in the living room so that we are not exposed to views from the top side or the street. In variant B, I left the living room in its old place and enlarged it around the original office.
I’m curious about your opinions, although I already suspect which variant will be better received. I would be grateful for further improvement suggestions, especially regarding windows I find it difficult.
