We also did a cash check just like that yesterday. I am summarizing planned costs and, if there were changes, actual costs.

For a possible comparison, it should be noted that only earthworks, where I did about 35% of the working time myself, and the shell construction / roof beams and exterior doors and windows have been contracted out.

Total costs are planned at €335,000 including a €30,000 buffer.

a few more details about the pictures:

in the Lustbild it looks even bigger, but even so there are just under 325m² of shuttering wood on the roof surface.
The exterior and interior shots are from 12/23 around noon, so sun at its lowest point.
It’s clearly visible that all the sunlight possible with this orientation can enter the house. Not so obvious is that the rafters decrease in thickness from the house wall to the end to prevent the roof overhang from looking bulky when clad.

The view is great, but also the visibility into the house. I still need to come up with something for that.
Planting the garden densely is not so great in my opinion. Does anyone have experience with films that reflect lightly? Other ideas?

Was it you who posted your experience in the "community greenhouse" in the Green Forum?
A few looks shouldn't bother you there.

The mirror films probably only work in bright light. In the dark, you can probably still see through, but for that you surely have roller shutters or external blinds.

Here in our residential area, some also have a south-facing house and 3 large terrace windows facing the street. But they are closed all day with opaque pleated blinds with a flower pattern, covering three quarters. Then I always wonder why they invested so much money to then rob themselves of the view and the light all day with such ugly things.

I like it and I would take it including view and insight. Is there a dog path along there?

Yes, I now live in the glass house. We are here with five parties on about 8000 m² of private land in the middle of town.

The new building faces a little-used road on the garden side. This is clearly visible in the aerial photo.
For the evening and night, roller shutters are installed. For the reasons mentioned, pleated blinds are also not an option for us. I will keep an eye on the film.
