Through the kitchen to the dressing room? That wouldn't be for me. I really liked your first floor plan as it was (better than the following ones). If you plan so openly - do you also have the view and others not the insight?

Hello,

thanks again!

I already understand how the base slab is constructed

What I don’t understand is how it is done on the property. The base slab will hardly be delivered in one piece; that means it must be poured conventionally on site and at this early stage already have all insulation, underfloor heating, etc. installed. It would then seem logical to me that it would just sit for a few weeks; otherwise, I don’t see any advantage over conventional construction, or where is my error in thinking?

Rhenish greetings

For me, the only advantage is that I can save the screed and thus moisture in the house and save time when things are usually tight during the interior construction. The disadvantages: even more thermal mass, very good planning required regarding the location of the distribution boxes, heating loops are in the reinforcement, i.e. susceptible to damage, no possibility to lay electricity, water, etc. on the slab, expensive. This is my opinion

Hello,

It doesn’t really save it; the only thing is: the timing for application is brought forward. That’s why I don’t understand the advantages of such a system. What difference does it make whether I have to wait at the beginning or at the end?

I also see the disadvantages you mentioned; on the other hand, after years on the job I might be blind to the operation and do not recognize the advantages of such a system. That’s why I’m asking

Rhenish regards

Moin Moin

First of all, thanks for the suggestion with the slanted wall over the entire width of the building.
I like it very much. I will continue to think about it.

The plot is quite generous on the southwest side. From the house to the street it is about 50 m
and there it has a width of almost 50 m.
At the street there is a ditch and there is still a clearance strip on the property side,
which we can use. From the ditch I am planning a strip of elephant grass.

The advantages of the base slab for me are
- no cold bridges, the slab is basically in a polystyrene shell
- no moisture inside the house during the construction period
- floor work (creating the finished surface) during the drying phase
- a seamless top floor Google (concrete polishing)
- no settling of the screed
