I have removed the overgrowth by force. The weather was moderate, and with the work gloves, the photos barely turned out. I will provide beautiful photos and pictures with better perspectives later. You already know the two houses from the front. First, a view from the very top of the property through the thicket. In the very foreground is a roof; that is from a shed that must be demolished. Then you see the gable with wooden cladding of the monument. Next to it is the roof of the house to be demolished. Behind that, you see the street and the mixed development.

Now the demolition house from the back. Here I would probably have to build something into the slope. You can see the boundary-adjacent development of the neighbor. Here either build directly attached or plant nicely...

Left and right, I meant from the street view in the previous post. So left: northern neighbor, right: southern neighbor.

Is this now a single-story extension, as well as the courtyard on the level? Or would it already be the (conceived) upper floor?

Currently, it is still single-story. But you directly face the slope, which makes it very dark. Since I expect to have to build further onto the property, the lower floor would probably disappear into the slope. In return, you are allowed to build one floor higher.

That's exactly what I wanted to know. You have to see where the slope starts.

Sorry, in case I missed it: What is your budget again? Have you already bought the [Grundstück]?

Do you still want to save us? Well, the plot is already ours. I don’t want to set the budget exactly yet because I first wanted to see what is possible for which amount. Actually, I didn’t want to exceed 700k. If it has to be, because there is no other way, then we just have to get through it... I fear that about 20 percent will be added for the landscaping of the garden. There should still be a subsidy for the monument (which of course is peanuts compared to the total sum). But the costs for the monument and then the courtyard area etc. can fortunately be deducted about 90 percent for tax purposes, even with private use.
