What exactly was it that you had fallen in love with? ...Just a little joke, don’t worry, it’ll be fine! The south wall - is that yours or the neighbor’s?

Phew, I don't remember right now either. Drugs maybe...? I hope the euphoria comes back once everything is finished. For now, it means holding on for two years..

What's the best way to find out? Just ring the bell and ask? I think it belongs to the neighbor.

Well, first of all you should best look for the boundary stone or better the boundary stones, if there are any. I know it like this: Usually they are marked as "present" in the cadastral extract with a point in the corner. If they are drawn in, then there is almost always one. At our place, they were all there, even if the search for them was not quite easy. (The surveyor found them). Well, the rest is easy. If the wall stands on your land, it is assumed to be yours. That is advisable anyway. Because even if it stood on your land, there are quite a few exceptions, especially with old properties. Besides, you get to know the neighborhood and can (carefully) introduce yourself and your project right away, preferably with a small gift. You want to make a good impression. A bottle of wine is always well received.

Cash outflow 200k now, from which you miss 91% for nine years, next year "only" 82%, and so on. That squirrel is feeding itself very laboriously ...

The wall is clearly there for us. What a stroke of luck! Of course, we will introduce ourselves politely before it starts. It’s supposed to last for many years, and such a construction next door is quite stressful. Without the wall, a lot will certainly change visually on the neighboring property...

That's nothing, that can't be right, can it? Yvonne, do you have such measurements too? Well, that sounds good at first. But as I said, first be sure whether it really belongs to you. Also, you have to check what would happen if you removed it. I would probably only shorten the height so far that it reaches garden fence height, if that's possible. How deep is the monster? Is it directly on the boundary? What the excerpt shows is more like a block - not a wall? I'm confused.
