Regarding the objection from the musketeer It is not so unusual for customers/clients/victims to try to inflate the costs for a remediation as much as possible. I also count a hotel stay of over a week for a couple of missing tiles among them. Olli

Everyone makes mistakes, no matter the profession. It’s simply human. However, why one profession should be squeezed while another can make mistakes mostly without consequences is beyond me. I could list some examples of medical errors within my close acquaintances and family that were not compensated, but that would go too far here.

I don’t understand why one has to "freak out" over an admitted mistake, nor why one absolutely needs an "all-inclusive" hotel instead of a vacation apartment, provided the house is indeed uninhabitable during that time.

so of course we were a bit annoyed, but mainly because of the lousy excuses from the plumber saying it was normal and so on... only after I was able to prove directly to the construction company with the planning documents that there really was a problem, they now want to do something. the plan was a ring line, so it would have been easy to integrate the circulation (no idea why they didn’t do it that way from the start...). they simply skipped a section of pipe, which now has to be installed.

the house is of course still habitable. it’s not like they’re tearing up the entire hallway. I think it will be about 4-5 tiles (across the normal walking direction), so you can even step over the hole. and after work a board will be put over it. it won’t take long anyway. with properly coordinated trades it should be done in 2-3 days.

during the on-site appointment we will still discuss whether it might be possible to go back from the pre-wall installation in the guest bathroom to the utility room. then only one wall tile in the guest bathroom would have to be removed and the screed would remain intact. just one core drill through the wall. in the end the pre-wall just has to be restored +1 tile and done.

attached is a picture of how the plumber admitted to having installed it. thick line larger pipe diameter, thin line I think 12x1 pipe. if I’m not mistaken they should all be copper pipes.

Good morning

In this case, I would have relocated the drinking water heater by the shortest route, which would be about 7 m to the kitchen and 2 to the WC. Without circulation. It seems as if someone didn’t want to do the 3 drillings or lost track there. The sensible solution you already mentioned now is from the WT guest WC through the wall into the utility room. That’s really not a problem. The approximately 4 m pipe to the kitchen sink is then a branch line without circulation. That works

I would have it done. Waiting 20-30 years for warmth would always annoy me, wondering why I didn’t have it done. My personal opinion.

Yes, it’s annoying that the craftsmen have to come back to the house and do rework. But is it really not worth it to you and instead be annoyed for years?

We haven’t had a couch for 1 week now because the furniture store didn’t deliver. First, my wife made a big fuss about where we should sit, then I showed her [idomeni] and asked if mud would be better. Now it’s quite funny lounging on cushions on the floor.

oh right....

yes, of course have it done.
The installer arrives at eight in the morning, exposes the pipe, drills through the wall, and feeds the pipe through the wall. The tiler shows up at eleven and starts his work while the pump is installed and pipes are laid in the technical room.

Whoever wants, as the builder, goes for a coffee or to the doctor during this time.
No hotel stay is needed here;). The coffee is gladly on me then.
