I have always wanted a house with a recessed upper floor (setback floor). It combines the advantages of a city villa, but doesn’t look so much like a block.

Then you won’t hear much from the street inside the house. I live on a main road, as long as no doors slam everything is fine. Even my husband is not bothered by the traffic and he is sensitive.
