And electricity is almost like money; there are numerous ways to generate it. I wouldn't be surprised if electricity eventually even functions as a means of payment.
It is about 2 people plus one child (planned). A corner bungalow would definitely appeal to us more visually.
I looked at the floor plan and noticed that it hardly differs from our apartment. The pure living space is sufficient for a family, but the usable area seems too small to me. With a child, you need a (covered) parking space for strollers and other vehicles and storage space for sorted-out clothes and toys. Women get very creative with nest-building and suddenly start hoarding stuff... If you build the house like this, then plan a large garage with a hobby room.

If the plot is big enough, then put up a nice garden shed.
The floor plan also shows a retractable ladder to the attic. With a 24-degree roof pitch, one should at least be able to stand somewhat comfortably in the middle. Clothes for [Kind 2] can therefore be stored there temporarily ;)
I would rather not store clothes in an uninsulated and unheated attic. The risk of moisture is quite high there -> mildew and mold. So only things that can tolerate moisture, extreme heat and cold, as well as the change between them well.

The attic is somewhat ventilated. At least in our case, after one winter and one summer, it has proven that clothes and similar items can be stored well there. I also have folding beds, sleeping bags, and others; so far, no problem.
