Yes, the basement must be completely underground. From the ground floor, we can exit normally. On the north side of the house, we have about 1 to 2 meters distance to the retaining wall; a nice stone wall will be built there. We never wanted to exit from the upper floor; we want as few doors as possible on the house. To the south, the basement goes underground and is then dug out again. So that the 2 large windows on the south side cannot be reached.
