So behind the house there will be a wall to support the slope. For the excavations, sheet piles as protection for the pit. Even if it would be possible to move the house towards the street, we still don't want to, the house will stay where it is. (Sorry, that's my stubbornness, we now live on the street and that's why we don't want it anymore) We thought of the buffer like this, neither the costs incurred for the house as it is now nor, as the younger generation, reviving a village with offspring. That’s why we hope internally that on Monday the district office will decide excavations yes, and for that the biotope will be restored one to one.

So the general contractor builds a timber frame, right? No solid builder who is honest with the client sells two walls with a lousy hole in between. Nothing else grows from the gap between the retaining wall and the house wall, which never gets any sun. You also have to secure the retaining wall against falling. As a result, you can’t get out from the upper floor. Does the basement now have to be completely underground?

Yes, the basement must be completely underground. From the ground floor, we can exit normally. On the north side of the house, we have about 1 to 2 meters distance to the retaining wall; a nice stone wall will be built there. The retaining wall is currently about 1.50m high because we have slipped forward. Behind it is forest. No, we are building a solid house. We never wanted to exit from the upper floor; we want as few doors as possible on the house. To the south, the basement goes underground and is then dug out again. So that the 2 large windows on the south side cannot be reached.

Between walls and the [Mauer] go things like the grill and bicycles

Leaves
Garbage
Everything that flies around after a storm.
It doesn’t provide weather protection for bicycles and grills either.
Instead, you move further south towards the street.
Which you don’t want.
This is the first solid builder I come across who suggests that. He ruins my statistics.

Basement completely underground and then also with sheet pile walls?
I wouldn’t do that. Or is there a home theater or band rehearsal room going in there.
What soil class do you have?

Is there that much break-ins where you are?
Sometimes I don’t even lock the front door.

So the walls are only needed during construction so that they can make a vertical pit without it collapsing again, otherwise we have completely normal light shafts and regular windows because we will excavate the basement again. We are currently moving 2 meters towards the street. And yes, a screen will be installed in one room.
