Because of the Örag or Sparkassen builders' insurance, it seems that these conditions are completely identical with every provider or broker; an additional service (insurance or credit) must be concluded with them, and the prices are also identical. Or does anyone know a broker where it becomes cheaper (under the same conditions)? And if in the case of a one-time payment it is "only" 2400€ instead of 2500€ ...

No. No supplementary service needs to be concluded. That would be an illegal tying arrangement. ÖRAG knows that too. Talk to the agent about it specifically. He will probably try to avoid the issue. If he insists, please ask him to provide that to you in writing. At the latest then he will back down. If he has at least some knowledge.

A one-time payment has not brought anything in recent years because, in times of negative interest rates, it was rather a disadvantage for the insurance companies to receive the money early.
This may be changing again now.

You mean that ÖRAG is using an unauthorized clause on the internet here? I would like to doubt that - > "The builder's legal protection is available at your savings bank or your public insurer and can only be concluded in connection with a financing or with one of the following insurances related to your construction project: - Construction performance insurance - Integrated fire shell construction insurance (in building insurance) - Builder’s liability insurance - Builder’s helper accident insurance - Comprehensive protection for homeowners

Yes, I found that information back then as well. But elsewhere it says the opposite. I have to look it up... it's been almost 2 years already.

Your trust in information on providers' websites is quite remarkable. Considering that even terms and conditions often contain numerous invalid clauses...

ok, you mean a provider of RV does not know the legal requirements and exposes themselves to lawsuits and warnings?

I'm curious about your information where "the opposite" is stated ...
wait....wait...wait...

LOL. Of course, it’s never happened that a company loses a lawsuit. Because they always do everything right. Hahahahahaha.

Apart from that, information on the website isn’t even legally binding.

By the way, I am the counterproof personally. I took out the ÖRAG legal protection without any other product. There are plenty of others besides me who have done it that way.

At first, he wanted to steer me towards fire shell construction / building insurance. I then asked him by mail if I could really only take out the RV if I also took out the fire shell construction. Whether he wanted to explicitly confirm that to me. I of course wrote nicely and explained that I already have fire shell construction insurance. Then all that went through without additional insurance.

But I don’t care. Take out additional insurance and that’s that.
