When I looked into our construction project in 2019, such a thing was only available to be concluded together with the loan or has it always been the case that you simply had to book a second insurance? Back then, the insured sum was also really bad. Given the current conditions, it makes sense for everyone to take one out, doesn’t it?!

a) You couldn't provide a source for your statement that "elsewhere" says the opposite.
b) The "dozens of others" you mention remain very reserved here and on the web.
c) I am in direct contact with ÖRAG and brokers; all I can say is that brokers must enter either a credit contract number or a supplementary insurance to be concluded when inputting the insurance, otherwise they cannot proceed further in the input mask to register the contract with ÖRAG.

But if it makes you feel better, you are the hero making the impossible possible, and I am the naive fool who believes everything on the web...

My goodness. What’s your problem? Your other post, in which you wrote similar nonsense, was deleted by a mod. The frustration must run deep if you have to write it again now.

I don’t have to prove anything to you. But I can tell you that in a house-building group on a social network with f, there are many who, like me, took out no additional insurance. My insurance agent from Allianz, with whom I ultimately took out the fire shell/building insurance beforehand, also directly pointed out to me that tied deals in insurance are only allowed within very narrow limits (e.g., securing a financing risk).

But again: I don’t have to prove anything here. I am done with the construction. I live in the house. So far, I haven’t even come close to needing legal protection insurance. I hope it stays that way. If you take out additional insurance: great! These are all reputable insurances. I’ll be the last one to come at you in a rude way. I have shared my personal experience. You don’t seem to believe me. No problem!

My personal experience: The financial broker said it would work without additional products. Application rejected. Then I just took out the other stuff with them too. But I didn't care because I needed something anyway and they weren't necessarily expensive.

When did you finish? For me, it was in February 2021.

When did you finish? For me, it was in the 1st quarter of 2021. No idea if that has anything to do with it.

I think it was Q3-Q4 2020. It may be legally the case as well (although insurance companies are then subject to a stricter condition), but do you really want to start a legal dispute because of that? As I said, I needed the complete package anyway.
