Builder's legal protection insurance - Signing the construction contract

ÖRAG finds it sufficient if one simultaneously takes out one of the following insurances: fire shell construction/building, builder's liability, construction performance insurance. I have taken out all of them, as I understand it, one of them is enough. I don't know if others are possible. I seem to remember that it used to only work with financing, but it could be that it was just poorly communicated.

And how long does the legal expenses insurance then run? Do I have to complete the 5 years or can I also cancel after 3 years?

The term is 5 years, I would have to check the fine print to see if there is a proper right of termination.

So, I have read again.
There are extraordinary rights of termination in the following cases:
1. Premium increase
2. The insurance reason ceases to exist (you die or sell the house)
3. After each occurrence of a legal protection case, regardless of whether coverage is denied or approved.

One should keep in mind that it is a legal expenses insurance ... and 100,000 in court and attorney fees means quite a lot has to happen before they add up ....

I interpret that as positive, why concerns? This is a maximum limit, not a minimum limit...

Oh, by the way, what I just read: For the developer, the BH-RS must be concluded with the developer before signing!
