Have you already reported the construction readiness to them? They usually only pass it on to subcontractors anyway.
For us, it went smoothly now. Construction readiness was reported on April 25 and the cable was laid on June 19.

Yes, a long time ago. I think it was in February. Since then, a confirmation email arrived. Phone calls then lead nowhere.

Fiber optic cables must be laid by law wherever new construction takes place or the ground is dug up, yes.

But as it always is. Being right and getting your rights are two different things, because in court and at sea, you are in God's hands.

Of course, you have to keep at it, but if the network provider ghosts you... what can you do. Except to get something with 5G, even if you can't game as well then.
But there are probably worse things in the world than that.

Find the mistake:

Telekom will not reinvent the copper twisted pair for a customer in a fiber optic area; there are no more new last miles in copper. Whoever wants "copper" gets POTS (from the NT to the TAE) emulated on a fiber optic connection. Where Telekom itself is not the fiber optic provider, this will have to be done on a rented TAL, which first has to be laid by the developer. So you will basically have to take a connection from the developer first, cancel after the minimum contract period, and then switch. I no longer see redundancy as easily possible there.

or no longer work as well... but whatever, who needs video conferences anyway. 5G is nice when you have 5G. Our property cost €50 / m², do you think there's 5G here? You can be glad if you have Edge, for making calls.

No. Empty conduits must be laid. In new development areas, fiber optics as a broadband medium are mandatory; I mentioned the source.

I miss the connection to the topic here. Is that your version of "oh yeah, true, my statement was wrong, sorry"?

The development contractor was chosen by someone. Probably the municipality. They have different contacts to the provider; I would try through them. If necessary, you can also unite with other affected parties. Contacting the local press can also be helpful.

Without (real) broadband, I wouldn’t build or rent an apartment in place X today. Much more important than, for example, a highway connection.
By the way, 5G often has less bandwidth than LTE in many places, but possibly better latency. But that is all just Plan B.

WLAN calling as a tariff feature is the savior :)
