Honestly, I also don’t understand the argument that with KNX you have to call someone for everything when something doesn't work.
It's like says, it's the same with everything. What happens if the Wi-Fi doesn’t work? What do you think, how many then call a provider technician? Or the toilet flush, or connecting a washing machine?
My mother (71) was just visiting for a few days.
Quote: “what a beautiful house, but I can’t handle all the technology.”
Do you think that compared to KNX she could manage any other technology herself?

Admittedly, it often seems as if KNX is considered the holy grail and everything else is rubbish. That certainly isn’t the case.
But there are so many prejudices that don’t hold up.

But also here no price advantage on the part of Loxone, so why? Why settle for second place when you get first place for exactly the same money???

Then I’m glad I chose second place.
I know KNX installations and I was clear I didn’t want that. Mouse piano on the wall, etc. Even though now there are displays.

As mentioned, KNX has advantages, yes.
But it didn’t convince me.
And that’s why I decided for Loxone.

The buttons with the small keys where you have to make sure you press the right keys. Especially in the dark.

Hmm.. the goal of home automation is actually to avoid using push buttons as much as possible.

Right, but blinds, central control and turning off the lights still have to be realized somehow.. The discussion is actually completely pointless. There are KNX freaks who swear by KNX and praise it to the skies. Then there are those who also look beyond the horizon. I looked at Comexio, but it didn't convince me, the system is somehow still too vague and visually well, especially since it uses EnOcean, which in itself was a good idea.. but due to the lack of standards it’s kind of a thing. I am someone who likes to stick to one manufacturer, or at least use the manufacturers that are recommended. I've already experienced a lot with that, it should actually work.
