ok you probably have KNX installed at your home, right?

When connected Home over IP eventually comes, will it be a completely separate standard or will the existing (enocean, Z-Wave and Zigbee) be fully compatible with the new standard?

At least CHIP is supposed to continue supporting all wireless technologies of the founders. Explicitly mentioned are IEEE802.15.4 with 6loWPAN as in NEST, IEEE802.15.4 in various ZigBee configurations, BLE versions 4.1, 4.2, and 5.0, and "WLAN up to WiFi-6."

So you shouldn't bet on the "new" standard being defined quickly here.

You are best off with an open source project of your choice (HomeAssistant, Homee FHME, etc.) and the corresponding gateway for protocols you intend to use.

I am still looking for a suitable smart home system and came across the system from Comexio

They say they offer a professional smart home at affordable prices

Has anyone had experience with the Comexio smart home?

It's again a PLC with manufacturer lock-in. If it burns out, you have a dumb home. If the manufacturer goes bankrupt... etc. The wiring is also more extensive than, for example, KNX.

ok thanks

so it can be concluded that for a cable smart home only KNX should be considered (busch free@home or similar not either as it also has only one manufacturer

otherwise one has to/should switch to radio?

KNX has the big advantage that, unlike almost all other wired systems, you are not tied to just one manufacturer.
