Asymmetrical facades as the preferred choice?

Or you do it the way you like.
I’m not building my house for others, it has to please me. I don’t care if others like it, if it conforms to any training standards, or anything like that. And when I see what some professionals deliver, I wouldn’t feel comfortable in it.

I would never prioritize the exterior view anyway, but always plan the rooms according to my life, from which the windows naturally result.

Can someone explain to me why I pay €4,000 for an architect and he doesn’t tell me something like this? I can’t blame him for the design; I specified what I (unknowingly) wanted. 1. The muntins are not fixed. They are placeholders. When I order the windows, I will of course ensure a consistent look. The windows at the bottom will be Danish windows that open outwards. 2. The bottom windows are not floor-to-ceiling. They are 40 cm above the floor. Floor-to-ceiling or patio doors were not wanted by the board. 3. The window above is horizontal because there will be a radiator in the bedroom. Underneath there is underfloor heating. 4. The building permit is secured; there is not much room left for major changes. Maybe I should have consulted the forum earlier. How would you have done it?

… but they do have an effect. That’s the point: an arbitrariness, here the different divisions, always looks somewhat strange. Who is the board? Don’t you want to be able to go into the garden? Without a railing, the facade would appear somewhat (positively) elongated. How do you close them again without falling out of the window? You can’t go outside or lean against the railing. Do you then have two heating circuits? Patio doors would probably still be possible ;) Pay attention to the same pattern for the windows (less is more here), and reconsider the opening problem with windows with a 40 cm railing.

The beloved wife is the board. The living room shall remain a living room and not a passageway to the garden.
My objection was dismissed. Since the terrace is no longer attached to the house anyway, no access is required.
We are either in the garden or in the living room.

What do you mean? Instead of 40cm, you prefer floor-to-ceiling? I didn’t want that, though. On one side, there is directly a chaise longue for reading, chilling, and looking into the garden. On the other window is the couch corner, and I don’t want it floor-to-ceiling either.

I think a solution can be found. They’re not 2m wide wings anyway.

No. Until the heating is renewed, the underfloor heating runs with an RTL valve and later the house will be properly operated with two heating circuits. It’s also like that in the bathroom now.

As I said, not wanted.

I will.

For example, continuous underfloor heating ;) .. see also question from .

Is that a question? Statement. What exactly do you want to tell me?

What exactly is the problem with the knee wall? Too small? Too high?
