Hello,

Are these the same acquaintances who have such problems with their builders? As a user here already wrote, there must be reasons ...

Don't let yourself get crazy; you can also properly regulate underfloor heating in the children's rooms. Today's houses are so well insulated—no matter which type you choose—that hardly any heating is needed; especially not in the attic.

But for heaven's sake, teach your children in time not to change a temperature once it has been set!

Rhenish greetings

I would also install underfloor heating everywhere, otherwise you need two heating circuits and that is definitely more expensive (according to our heating engineer). Also, as the construction expert already says, I would keep the underfloor heating running. The outdoor temperature sensors regulate everything automatically and based on experience, you don’t have any extra costs. This "turning the heating off and on again" doesn’t even exist in our rental apartment. Which I am also grateful for.

And I think playing on underfloor heating is much better as a child....

Thank you all for your opinions. I believe it is probably best to install underfloor heating throughout the entire house. Especially since it will make it easier for me in the future to switch to other heat sources, e.g. air-to-water heat pump. (Sollte das Gas in 20 Jahren nicht mehr bezahlbar sein, was ich nicht glaube).

Morning!
So you’re preparing for things you don’t believe in yourself!?

I was guided by practical considerations: underfloor heating on the ground floor is unquestionably great, at least with tile floors. But how is heating done on the upper floor? At night the windows are tilted open – and the heating runs!? Or the heating only runs in the morning after the windows are closed – then the room only gets warm when the kids are already at school!

I invested the money for the underfloor heating with separate control elsewhere. I have radiators everywhere, a wood stove in the living room, underfloor heating in the bathrooms, and almost the entire house has parquet flooring (floating installation) – which wouldn’t have gone well with underfloor heating anyway. My heating costs (including firewood) were 700 euros/year last winter; hot water is supplied by solar.

I haven’t regretted it so far.

Best regards,
Tomtom.
