Oh, regarding banks: My main bank is a savings and loan association. Commerzbank and Sparkasse would be other options.... I don't think it's a debacle, since I actually didn't want to do anything with building society contracts....

@ Effzeh

why do you absolutely want a sliding door? It is expensive and robs you of quite a bit of opening width? Apart from the smoothness over the years

The rest is no rocket science; rather normal wishes.

The sliding door is not what I want, but my wife.... oops: I know that it costs almost three times as much, but my wife also... The architect also immediately pointed out this additional cost!! Let's see what he calculates now.... Maybe it will be removed again just as quickly as it was put in.... But the opening width is greater with such a sliding door, or am I misunderstanding something?!?!

If you install, for example, a sashless window element measuring 2.01 x 2.135, you can use the full frame width as entry/exit. With a sliding door of the same size, only half.

So the rule is: the usable opening width of a sliding door is always half of its original width. Unless your wife prefers a folding door, but that costs even more.

Yes okay, that's how I had understood it before as well. Let's see what my wife says about it... As I said, I have no say in this one point. Since the rest of the must-haves in your opinion are nothing special and we don't really need any other extras, I would like to ask for your assessment of the price for such a house. approx. 140m² Oh, a normal plaster on the outside is enough for us!! Heating: gas 1.5-2 stories

Sliding doors are a great thing, especially when the window width, for example, exceeds 4 meters. You don’t have any obstructive window sashes standing in the room. My parents have 6 meters width - with a sliding element that opens easily. Nevertheless, I personally have respect for these doors because in various independent newer houses I couldn't just easily open these doors from inside... you first had to push, turn, and something else... no idea... the residents always said themselves, "Be careful, it’s a bit hard to open." That would personally bother me.
