Nice post. I would like to add, if I may, that this also partly applies to fathers. Fathers who want to stay at home are still very often looked at oddly...

Sorry for the language, but I have rarely read such utter bullshit!!!! Who on earth says, on the one hand, that women aren’t allowed/should not study and that when children are there, they can no longer go to work!? This discussion was solely about not going back to work full-time immediately when the kids arrive or putting an eight-month-old baby into daycare. We’re not talking about every woman with children not working at all or only working on a 450-euro basis — where did you read that!? I already wrote in a previous post that we will have to work until 67 or longer, so what do those few years matter in which I only work part-time (not not at all)? No one gives you back the time with your small kids. And yes, I also enjoy working a lot, that’s why I have ALWAYS worked, but now that the kids are still small, I work part-time. By the way, with a degree, you’re in the comfortable position of being able to earn a salary part-time that others would have to work full-time to get.

I had deliberately forgotten them - if we now start discussing the father in relation to his rights in family policy or the imposed role at work... no, better to leave it now.

...I think mandatory vaccination for children would also be a point that could be addressed here...

Now the bomb is dropping... please don’t activate the tin foil hat wearers again... they already have so much to do with the coronavirus.

Just to lighten things up a bit here. As a homeowner and future father, I had a nice drink with a buddy today (of course with 1.5 meters distance). This doesn’t add any value here, but neither do quite a few posts in this thread. Cheers to that. Oh, and everyone should and may do what they think is right, and I certainly won’t justify myself for it!
