Good that they didn't try to break the glass, which certainly would have succeeded, but makes noise and poses a risk of injury. Then only RC2 with the P4A pane would have helped.

We have police officers in the family and the fact is as follows: indeed, the mechanical "delay" is the top priority. However, the fact is also: in houses with an alarm system (visible from outside) there are significantly fewer attempts of burglary than in houses without an alarm system. This applies to new residential areas because usually the professionals do not break in there (they know there is little to nothing to gain).

Yes, definitely also a point for the "next house". More soundproofing inside. IMHO this could also be implemented with relatively little money. Baseboards made of wood (solid) instead of composite material. Or better, concealed baseboards. My other wishes quickly get expensive (basement; separate entrance area, ...).

Whereas only SK4 really brings a lot. We have SK2 in bathrooms and SK4 in the office. There really are pipes there. The office is also enclosed in 24 cm aerated concrete blocks. The SK4 door weighs 110 kg, is 7 cm thick and costs almost 4000 EUR including installation. But if you want peace, you can’t avoid SK4. Especially with small children..
