What would you do differently in the next house construction?

The conservatory is not one in the classical sense. Not a direct annex, but free-standing and therefore not heated. I don’t want to leave any electronics there. Therefore portable speakers via Bluetooth. Old building = compromises

By placing them on the side of a two-leaf window that opens secondarily. We've had that once; Christmas decorations are rarely hung there, but because of the location near the couch, a phone or laptop is regularly placed there.

The sockets themselves do not obstruct opening. Even with a normal plug it's still okay. It was sold to us as a great invention for Christmas lights. It's also quite practical if you don't have to run 3 distribution boxes to the window... but if you also plug in a timer, that's quite a "chunk"...

Only: why not rather in the parapet than in the reveal?

Hi,

that was the one where you spent 400 hours (!!) learning it and then did the programming yourself?

You have to have the time for that first, which is why only a few do it.

The kid in me misses KNX, the realist in me is relieved not to have it. I simply wouldn’t have the time to deal with it.

There are a few use cases (venetian blinds, roller shutters, outdoor lighting) I would have. But life is pretty good with the simple solution, too...

Keep it simple and enjoy your time...

Best regards,
Andreas
