And do you shower with boots on and all? Or naked? And what about the dirty clothes? And isn't that a bit over the top? I take off the dirty clothes in the utility room and then, almost naked if sweaty, head to the bathroom.... Water on.
Over the top? I wouldn’t call a simple shower that. It’s in the laundry room, practically right next to the side entrance door that leads straight from the garden into the house. The alternative would have been a regular shower cabin in that corner. There’s no other shower on the ground floor – and when I’m working in the garden or plastering walls, I like to be covered in mud from head to toe ^^ So far, the dirty clothes are taken off downstairs and then I run naked (and barefoot...) upstairs to the bathroom. Not so great with cold tiles on the ground floor. And not so nice with dirty feet either.
An elevator in the house – I’ve always thought that was great but financially it probably won’t be doable. How much does something like that cost if I may ask. Sure, you could probably spend tens of thousands but where is an entry point that’s actually worthwhile? All ideas are really cool!
We definitely don’t have a conventional elevator. We simply concreted or bricked up a shaft. Wide doors at the top and bottom plus currently a rope hoist (right now only wood, briquettes, and drinks are transported).
