Over the top? I wouldn’t call a simple shower that. It’s in the laundry room, practically right next to the side entrance door that leads straight from the garden into the house. The alternative would have been a regular shower cabin in that corner. There’s no other shower on the ground floor – and when I’m working in the garden or plastering walls, I like to be covered in mud from head to toe ^^ So far, the dirty clothes are taken off downstairs and then I run naked (and barefoot...) upstairs to the bathroom. Not so great with cold tiles on the ground floor. And not so nice with dirty feet either.

We definitely don’t have a conventional elevator. We simply concreted or bricked up a shaft. Wide doors at the top and bottom plus currently a rope hoist (right now only wood, briquettes, and drinks are transported).

Hello

a socket at every window. My wife came up with the idea. For Christmas decorations.
In my workshop I have 64 sockets. Sounds like a lot, but it goes quickly. (top 3 x 3, middle 3 x 3, bottom 3 x 3) The same on the opposite side and the rest on the end wall. With three-phase power. In any case, there is always a socket free.
A safe door from the garage to the basement. The door has a combination lock on both sides. A sit-down bathtub as a sink in the washroom. This way the grill can also be cleaned in it.

I have now understood the thing with the shower. Yes. Not bad. The freight elevator, I now understand it as a construction with blocks, rope, and folding runners, purely mechanical. That's a great thing. Usually, only sailors come up with that.... Karsten

I manage to get wet less than ten times a year on the way between the house and the garage. It's estimated to be about 600 meters.

Yes, that sounds interesting.

That will also go on my wish list.

What we absolutely wanted:

- a real sitting window facing west with a 60cm deep parapet (we are getting)
- part of the 2.40m wide corridor on the upper floor with a glass floor (we are not getting)
- flush-mounted recessed mirror cabinet in the main bathroom (we are getting)
- kitchen with a cooking island that is half made of an old workbench (we are getting)
- shower toilet (we are not getting)
- completely flush interior doors without visible frames (we are not getting, only butt-hinged)
- LED light strips as inner corner tile trims in the shower (we are getting)

I don't think anyone will top that.

The window outlets also sound practical, then there aren't extension cords everywhere (Christmas decorations). If my wife hears about that, she'll definitely want it ^^.

I'm very happy about your numerous ideas!
