Wax candles. Christmas has to be analog.

About the window sockets: I don't find them nice at all. The standard Christmas decoration has a fixed cable, no idea, 1.5m? And they then hang permanently between the decorations and the socket in front of the window. Either like a monkey swing or crumpled together into a thick tangle. Nice looks different. A cable neatly routed along the window frame to the socket below looks much better.

Wellllll, I wouldn’t exactly call it happiness... [emoji23]

Why can’t I ask? I didn’t even reply to that, I just made my socket usage transparent and put it up for discussion. It wasn’t aimed against your 3-socket strategy [emoji4]

I didn’t know that for example. It’s absolutely not my area, so thanks for the tip [emoji1303]

... I lack the visual imagination: in the reveal or in the parapet duct, where should I imagine them?

I believe, if anywhere, then in the window reveal, so inside on the side of the exterior wall.

I thought it was really great when I read about it here years ago. We then decided against it. For one, I don’t consider sockets exactly decorative, and for another: such windows have to first exist nowadays, just like “window lighting.”
We don’t have such things at all, window sills are rare for us too.

: absolutely great. These LED candles also come with a timer: they burn for 6 hours every day at the same time. Not that I forego real candles, but in a household with pets and children it’s a good alternative, also in niches or on the shelf.

We completely forgo decorations. We need neither ugly sockets in the window nor batteries [emoji38]
