Yes.
1.) The access point is on the ground floor.
2.) The access point is on the upper floor. The cover grille will be screwed on tomorrow.
I have also prepared additional network cables for more APs.
However, it looks like the two, including the FritzBox in the utility room, are sufficient.

If you like the execution and the performance is sufficient, then everything is fine. For me, with such technical devices, performance is more important than appearance. The 2.4GHz network will already transmit far, but your installation will not be beneficial for the 5GHz.

Hello everyone,

I'm jumping in here as well. The following situation. I bought 2 AC Pro units at the end of last year. Since the emergency solution (Fritzbox in the living room and repeater) worked reasonably well, I left it as it was for the time being. But now I want to move the Fritzbox to the basement soon and put the access points into operation. For the upper floor ceiling (drywall), I see no problem. I can just hide the installation cable with keystone and short patch cable inside the ceiling. From the lower floor ceiling, out of ignorance, I left the installation cable hanging directly from the ceiling. No socket, no conduit. Nothing. Since the access points have little space for cables, I wanted to screw some kind of adapter plate (2-3cm thick) between the ceiling and the access point. I remember someone having done that here before. Unfortunately, I can't find any idea on how to build/implement that easily and without much effort. Does anyone have an idea or, better yet, a ready-made solution that I can copy 1:1?

Thanks and best regards

Stefan

If I remember correctly, he had a ring printed back then. Alternatively, I could also imagine milling something like that out of wood and painting it or, depending on the diameter, cutting a piece of plastic pipe.

I have also considered printing. But I wonder if the print would break when screwing?!
Wood would be the easiest to attach, but difficult to make without the right tools. I also have concerns about the attachment when it comes to a pipe....
