Unifi NanoHD on concrete ceiling - which box to provide?

I can't imagine it makes much of a difference. I will definitely recess my NanoHDs up to almost the edge. Maybe someone can write something about this here.

I would simply use a cavity box... Place this from above (before concreting) on the precast slab and fix it. Then drill through the bottom of the box and the precast slab (12mm drill). This way you can let a cable hang out below (20cm patch cable with keystone attached to the installation cable) and push it back into the box as far as necessary. The diameter of the access point has nothing to do with the box... The box acts purely as a cable duct.

I would not recess the access point. Firstly, it won’t be optimal for the Wi-Fi and mainly what would bother me when changing the access point is that the cutout definitely won’t fit the new access point.

So I didn’t install a box at all but only pulled a conduit. That works too, but I would rather recommend a small box. It was quite a hassle with the connection plug. And I had even bought a very short one on purpose. Whether the mineral fiber board is bigger doesn’t really matter. You won’t leave the ceiling raw but will plaster it or do something similar.

True, I hadn't thought of that yet... Then I could simply use the HaloX 180 from the architect if he doesn't agree to something else. Thank you very much!
