The APs do not reach the farthest corner of the basement. And since the [FB] is there, I thought the phone could then switch to the WLAN of the [FB]. Automatically.

Could and will. Although this is only initiated by the client (phone), which tends to run a little less smoothly, it works. You should just use the same SSIDs and encryptions.

Ok. But maybe I'll get an additional access point then. I will decide that when I see in the daily routine whether the current situation bothers me. Thank you

Does anyone have tips on what useful things can be set up with the Unify Network App that I haven't thought of yet? I also have the feeling that the range is not particularly outstanding. What settings would I need to make there? Thanks

Always set the range controller to the maximum. ;) Otherwise, low range is rarely improved through settings, but more through different positioning of the AP, furniture, or such. It rarely helps to choose a different channel either, but this is usually done quite well automatically nowadays. What does "not particularly outstanding" mean?

I don’t even know where I could adjust the range controller  . In the DG it hangs in the middle of the hallway. For example, in the room next door there is not full reception.
