So I have been following 2 YouTubers for about 2-3 years who have built houses (180-200sqm), both with flat roofs without basements, and guess what they are missing despite having a double garage... exactly storage space. One says she would build with a basement next time and the other with a pitched roof because of the storage space in the attic.

In both cases, the garage is cluttered. So building big does not directly mean you have storage space.

How twisted... a small room or a few meters of closet does a much better job than an additional floor.
