Yes, as a landlord you shouldn't let such nonsense go to court. As a tenant, however, absolutely, I wouldn't settle a single step there.

But it takes two to settle. If the landlord realizes that he will probably lose, he won't accept a deal anymore...

Something current again...

The landlord remains silent and the lawyer has prepared a statement of claim. We are supposed to review and sign it. It contains some errors and I inform him about this. We also will only sign once we have clarified 2-3 questions in advance.

In response, I receive a revised copy of the statement of claim that was sent. Still with some of the same errors and without our signature... unbelievable... I'm really starting to think what the lawyer is doing is outright cheeky.

I will now go there in person and ask what this is actually supposed to be about...

Not really against it... but in my eyes, it is really a disgrace...

He doesn’t advise us at all on the case... but constantly sends registered mails... he doesn’t respond to inquiries and keeps making mistakes...

It can’t be that difficult to use the correct addressing... now there have already been 3 incorrect letters despite being pointed out...

While in the first two letters the recipient could still be guessed... in the third letter there isn’t even one...

Example:

Correct = Peter Mustermann and Max Schulze

Lawyer writes = Peter Mustermann and Scholze Mustermann (???)

The last name suddenly becomes the first name and then it is spelled incorrectly... while the last name is simply taken from the person...
