I also once saw the 600 during the research – unfortunately only a few weeks later was I commissioned with then 800.
The connection is now finished. After a loooong fight. (sorry, but now I really have to vent)
1st attempt: The power supplier wants to trick me, starts in July (after a lot of phone calls, he simply forgot the first appointment in June) -> ultimately only lays the cable up to the property boundary, because the cable cannot be found in the street. But leaves the pit open over his vacation in August so he can continue searching afterward.
-> still finds nothing and after about 5 weeks finally closes the pit again.
2nd attempt, new company. digs up to the neighbor, still finds no cable
3rd: Telekom measurement vehicle comes, finds the cable on the other side of the street.
4th: Company from no. 2 comes to dig again, but also leaves the new hole open
5th: someone else has to reseal the pit
6th: pit is finally closed
7th: "your connection has been completed" message mid-December -> CHEER! oh no, not yet: "activation can take up to 30 days"
8th: three days before the 30 days expire, an extremely polite Telekom employee calls me to inform me that someone would come to activate it a week later; they need to come into the house and the time window can only be limited to morning or afternoon; since I work all day on Monday and can’t be home by 1 (nor the rest of the week), he checks with dispatch if Saturday is possible -> Saturday appointment is logged.
9th: oh wonder: on Saturdays connections are apparently never activated, Telekom only notices this on Friday. but of course I could limit the time window so that on the next attempted appointment during the week activation only happens after 5 pm
10th: unfortunately I forgot to get that 5 pm agreement in writing. my call ends with the result that such a time restriction is of course NOT possible, someone must be there from 1 pm and if the visit fails a flat fee will be charged.
11th: 3rd appointment attempt; so I take a Friday off and leave at 12 for the meeting but overhear that maybe no one will come after all because there is so much to do; after my angry remark that would be basically the 3rd missed appointment it is noted that we have priority – customers should not be stood up more than once
13th: nice gentleman actually comes Friday early afternoon and activates; explains what the electrician did wrong and is gone again after 5 min. CHEER!
12th: setup doesn’t work or connection drops repeatedly. strange. Telekom also found an issue on their homepage after my report.
14th: next short Friday, new nice gentleman. insufficient power is coming in. a look at the wires in the house: one is broken. apparently the nice gentleman from the week before got so caught up in explaining that he didn’t notice the measurement was wrong. after 5 min of screwing and wiring and new explanations (“what the colleague said is nonsense, of course it works as planned by the electrician”) he is gone again.
Result: several fits of rage from me and FINALLY internet since the end of January.
Therefore my advice to everyone: trust Telekom no matter how nice the person on the other side is and start calling Hinterhypr as early as possible. if necessary every three days.
