No one can give you an exact price here, but at least the offers can be assessed. And maybe something can still be optimized?!

No, about a reasonable and even for me as a customer comprehensible price. I remember quite a heated price discussion on your part regarding price/performance of your electrical work....-

....there can be several reasons for that.
I don’t “sell” wisdom here but describe my opinion on the topic and my very own way of dealing with it.
However, if someone regards my words as “wisdom,” that would actually flatter me at first-

Have you ever heard of the “four-sides model” in communication? Certainly! Possibly that explains why you perceive something differently than I at least tried to convey.
Moreover, general caution (not general mistrust!) when buying shouldn’t necessarily be portrayed as stupidity. I don’t think you handled your orders during your house construction without critically questioning them and having anything incomprehensible explained to you. And if you didn’t like something, you decided differently. So what??

Neither you nor I have to “expect” anything there. The OP is at the beginning of considerations and has wishes/ideas just like you and me, which will then gradually lead to a suitable compromise. How was it again with the wisdom?

No, apparently not-
If you read again or really read carefully, you would see that people here simply present their very own experiences and opinions regarding their encounters; no one is spreading wisdom here except maybe the one who wants to portray others who act differently as fools with silly restaurant comparisons just because they perceive or act differently.

Exactly THAT is precisely what is interesting here; otherwise, I could keep reading my memoirs-

Well, if you really believe that everyone who enters a kitchen studio without any clue will be OPTIMALLY advised and immediately offered the best price/performance models on which the seller earns the least by far, then you really are living behind the moon, especially when it comes to this industry.

We just had the fun of entering one consultation completely unaware and then with significantly more knowledge. The difference is simply incredible... Ultimately, as already said, everyone has to decide for themselves whether they want to deal with the subject matter at all, since of course everything involves effort. To say that everything is already fine and there is no more room in terms of price/performance, quality, or maybe simply things that better suit you, is simply not true.

my comparisons that you portray as silly are simplified examples only with different products. That’s why I already asked at the beginning what kind of non-transparent pricing this is supposed to be about? The calculation of such kitchens and the margins of the individual stores depend on so many factors that one has to add more, the other less, even if they are from the same manufacturer. Even hours of consultation with potential customers who ultimately don’t buy have to be taken into account.

Of course, I questioned a lot during my house construction, but in the end you have to pay the market price, even if it seems overpriced, because you also need things like kitchen, bathroom, toilet, etc. at some point and you don’t have forever to shop around. Similar to financing.

The topic could be settled with the answer "obtain several offers and compare apples to apples," but apparently this is about more...

The comparison with the dispute between me and the electrician doesn’t fit here at all, because this was about something completely different.

since neither you nor I live behind the moon, you surely also know that not every studio can offer everything, as not everyone has all brands in their range. Therefore, you always have to compare several offers with the same manufacturer.

No, the point is simply that pricing schemes are totally non-transparent if you don’t properly address them, request the right documents (which you rarely receive at the beginning), and really compare apples to apples. A Nobilia kitchen is not just any Nobilia kitchen... Trust me, read the book and you’ll know what I and maybe some others here are talking about.

When building a house, I can compare the build and performance specifications quite “easily” and know what I’m getting into; with the kitchen it actually gets much more complicated...
