With appropriate networking technology, this could be intercepted with authentication (keyword 802.1x). Nowadays, almost all cameras can do this, unless they are just from the toy shelf at Kaufland.

If you don’t have a line of sight without any interference or obstacles, there won’t be a reliable statement here. It depends on your walls, the position of the access points, your neighbors, and other factors.

No one will guarantee that for you.

One hour of 1080p video with H.264 and 25 frames per second is just under 2 GB.

Yes.

Hello everyone,
we are planning a city villa and are now at the electrical planning stage. I would like to install a camera on each side of the house or at each corner. I have my eye on the ABUS WLAN pan and tilt camera 360°. Does anyone have experience with it or with ABUS in general?

Our construction company said they would install it in the roof overhang, which should not be a problem. I was wondering, if the camera is mounted at a height of 6m, what the image quality would be like. Does anyone have experience with this?

Furthermore, we are also planning a doorbell with video function: our electrician recommended Doorbird. Is it recommended or are there alternatives?

I would run a CAT cable to all permanently mounted cameras. You need power at that location anyway, so you can supply them via POE and at the same time achieve higher bandwidths than with WLAN.

When placing the camera, keep in mind that you may only monitor your own property. Neighbors or public areas are off-limits. If a movable camera can pan there, then you have a problem.

How and where should the video data be stored? NAS?

Who exactly do you get the problem with?
Unfortunately, it's a plague in our new residential area. Although I deliberately placed two cameras on the corners of the house so that they cannot capture neighbors or public areas, there are some neighbors who don't care at all.
Their cameras are fully aimed at the public access road, etc.
