One more word about power consumption. I have two UAP-AC-PRO and one CloudKey Gen1 running over PoE.

Power consumption is between 3.1W-3.9W for all with nearly 20 active Wi-Fi devices.

Best regards!

Which devices even use 4x4 MIMO? To be honest, I believe that the AC Lite is absolutely sufficient for home use.

The lite also has a lower transmission speed (only half speed on 5GHz) and doesn't even have 3x3 MIMO. Many devices already use 3x3. My iPhone (11 Pro Max) has 4x4 MIMO. All newer devices will support that. You don't replace the APs every year anyway... The biggest advantage of the lite was the range. However, this is throttled outside the EU.

It has 4x4 MIMO, but only for LTE.
In Wi-Fi it has 2x2 MIMO.
Sure, looking ahead, that will come.
However, I think a normal user doesn’t even notice the difference between a good 2.4GHz network with 300Mbps and a 5GHz one with multiple times the bandwidth on their smartphone.
Can the range on the Lite still simply be increased by changing the country setting?

MacBook has 3x3
I don’t know if switching still works that way. But I think a few radio channels were then blocked...
I just wouldn’t buy a new access point that has almost 900 mbits in 5ghz when nearly 1800 are the standard today. Same with the MIMO thing if you have several mobile devices.
If the lites are already lying around, I would also install them and replace them eventually.

The average user doesn't even have a clue about 2.4 and 5 GHz. They are overwhelmed by Unifi anyway (channel control and other settings). They are just happy if they only have to plug in the [Fritte] or [Providerbox].
