We have standard glass but increased security fittings against prying open.

I only once heard something about the LAN ports in the outdoor area.

The cameras with light and motion detector are primarily intended to serve as a deterrent.

We mainly want to install video cameras and video doorbells and smart home technology in the house, installing lights, shutters, windows, and so on.

You should first clarify your priorities. On the one hand, you are afraid that someone comes to your house with a laptop or similar, then tampers with your doorbell and gains access to the house via the LAN port. On the other hand, you plan to use Nuki and similar… hmm, they were recently as open as a barn door (not for the first time)… and attacks from the outside are likely to increase in the future.


The Shellys can’t do much. What do you have in mind regarding the shutter control?

Well, for me closing and opening… possibly with an intermediate station/- bracket… would be completely sufficient.

…I wouldn’t have to run through the whole house every time like I currently do to close them.

So not a control system but just a simple central function and possibly additional positions. Yes, that is possible with Shelly’s.

Locks can be retrofitted since they are usually standardized here in this country. The only question is how much you are willing to spend on the retrofitting.
