True, I forgot the water supply. The rainwater is discharged into the sewer together with the wastewater here, because due to the soil conditions it is not allowed to seep away.

That means the savings for the last 10m (around the house) are simply too small for the electricity, water, and fiber optic lines to justify building the utility room on the outside.

In my proposal, an office was also included.

I don't know how old your children are, but I know from my niece/nephew that from their teenage years onwards, they also liked to have friends over for cooking/eating, and I think a living area that is somewhat separated is not so bad. It is not closed off.

Also imaginable is a group watching TV and 2 or 3 people who just want to have a conversation or game round at the table.

Great. So you pay sewage fees every time it rains?

Yes, that is probably different everywhere. Here we already had fees per meter for laying cables, you would have expected gold-plated wires. Other construction companies pull everything through at once, and it’s included in the price with a smile and a few sausages.

Then the guest room is missing.

Ours are still very small.
The requirements will surely change here and there over the years, but we don’t yet know how long we will stay in the house.

I think it’s called stormwater fee here. We pay it now as well.

Since we contract all trades ourselves, I hope I find someone who appreciates sausages.

This deserves a closer look: if there is no regulation regarding the position of the house axis, the orientation of the ridge does not automatically rotate the house as well. Then the roof could certainly be designed so that at least the main ridge lies perpendicular to the house axis. Ceterum censeo: that it was relatively an honor to win your allocation against dozens of thousands of competitors absolutely does not make a flawed plot any nicer. One may celebrate this joy with champagne for a whole weekend, but one lives in the house for decades.

These are the texts from the development plan.

The ridge is to be aligned according to the longitudinal axis of the buildings.
The position of the buildings and the ridge direction have been specified. This means that the orientation of the building’s longitudinal axis and the ridge direction follow the given arrow in the development plan.
The roof and one longitudinal side of the building are thus oriented towards the south, partly with a slight deviation. This allows optimal use of solar energy. The regulation does not apply to garages, carports, and other ancillary structures.

That is true. But it doesn’t help us to keep dwelling on how unpleasantly the plot lies.
