The problem, however, is the color selection if you don’t choose an aluminum roller shutter cover, because then the only color left for the venetian blind if you want everything to be homogeneous is white-aluminum.
My window fitter said that aluminum covers are 3 times more expensive than conventional roller shutters, but then you can also have RAL7016, DB703, or gray-aluminum.
We paid €500 to match 4 plastic roller blinds (~12m²) in color to the venetian blinds (RAL 7016). Matching venetian blinds to the standard color of the roller blinds was significantly more expensive.
For summer, I can actually only recommend venetian blinds on the ground floor with south or west orientation, unless you want to live like hell (exaggeratedly speaking).
Absolutely. In summer, with the slats in a horizontal position, a lot of light comes in with a full view, but no direct sunlight enters the house. Even though I would have preferred to do without it, our floor plan and plot necessarily require venetian blinds, otherwise it would often be very dark.
Certainly more brilliant is natural shading in summer through appropriate architecture.
