We were also faced with the question: brick garage or prefabricated garage made of concrete or steel? Our garage is supposed to be 9x6 m, as 1-2 American sleds need to fit in there... We had an offer from Reekers for three concrete prefabricated parts. That put us at about €18,000 with everything included. Now we have decided on a steel garage and are just under €15,000 with a 5 m sectional door including motor and electrics, one door, and one window... The outside will be plastered, since our house is plastered as well.

That was the same for us with Reekers. About €18,000. And the brick one probably costs €25,000 though.

What was included for the 18,000 € at Rekers? I currently also have an offer available 3 parts - results in 6x9 m large electric sectional door door electrical Results in 27,000 € plus crane. That's already a big number.. I would be happy about further comparisons.

In the case of a concrete or steel garage, the walls are probably a good deal thinner. 8cm instead of 24cm. This results in 32 cm more usable width for 2 walls (so 5.84 cm instead of 5.52 cm = but both are very tight).

Everything was included in the price (concrete parts, gate (not electric), door, 2 windows) except for the assembly, i.e. crane costs were added later.

Also for this reason, we decided on the metal garage. Then had 54m² of interior space.

I have an offer for a prefabricated garage for €15,500 (6x6 meters) from Rekers. Everything is included except for the foundation strips (about €2,500) and the crane installation (about €10,000). Therefore, I estimate a total of around €18,000. (With flat roof)

For a masonry garage, you first need a separate structural analysis, then the base slab, the masonry, the roof (flat roof will be difficult), the sectional door, etc., etc. I also considered a masonry garage, but financially it just doesn't make sense – it would have been different if I wanted to use the storage space (under the roof).

Yes, visually it is worth it day by day when you look at the garage.
Prefabricated garages mostly look somewhat out of place, even if they are attached directly to the house and painted the same color...
