Why does a man build a garage then, wouldn’t a shed be better?

Shed vs. garage... that's a story in itself. First economically. A decent wooden shed, that is one that lasts a few years and is big enough to store the garden furniture in winter, my stuff from the ship, sailing bags and so on, would hardly be cheaper. The house has no basement, that should be taken into account. The G. is therefore also a kind of substitute basement. And the GU advised, put it close to the house, so to speak wall to wall, three meters protruding at the back, resulting in a wonderfully wind-protected east corner, open to the west and south, nicely sunny, it can already be cozy around noon in March. That made sense.

I would rather not blab out loud that I don't use my garage as a garage.

This is not an issue here in the far north. As long as the car is not parked on the street, but on the property, and as long as no apartment is made out of it, nobody here cares.

In this area, swing gates are only offered cheaply for garages. 98% then choose the version with sectional doors.
