If the garage can be built there, there is nothing against it. The driveway is very long anyway. In any case, every space as far east as possible is good (so as marked). Another option could be: the garage further south - but this has the disadvantage that the way from the garage to the house becomes long (but the driveway is shorter).

I have to walk half a km to the garage (unfortunately not on my property, hehe), and only rarely need an umbrella. The forces of nature on the way between gate and door are greatly overestimated.

I also think that the current consideration is a middle ground. Not too far from the house and the driveway length still okay. The neighbors have their driveway from the north.
