It is a lesser evil than having to endure the light pollution of an all-night lantern because of the bins standing wildly at the roadside instead of a Rotring lantern, in order to maintain traffic safety obligations and prevent anyone from crashing into the waiting bins. Sometimes councilors are wiser than developers think.

I was just out for a walk. There are permanently about 6 times as many bins standing on about half as many square meters here. How do you come to the conclusion that 30 sqm might be necessary for three households when I describe that the bins only stay there overnight?

I lose my faith in humanity when a bin standing there is regularly calculated by the councilors with roughly ten square meters of space, or a worst-case scenario has to be planned in which 9 bins stand there at once and then a single bin requires about 3.3 sqm. No matter how you look at it, 30 sqm is absurd.
