That depends a bit. If they agree to a regular pickup scenario and accordingly only see the need for 3 bins at the same time and have space requirements similar to, for example, what I found from the city of Freiburg (240-liter bin 130cm depth in the parking space), one could even consider applying for a change of the building window and place the house along the north side, because only a few square meters would be needed.
So the garbage bin parking space for the private roads here comprises exactly the space needed to place 4x240l bins. Not one centimeter more, no hedge, no fencing, nothing at all. A level paved area where the private road residents place their bins from 6 p.m. in the evening, drive away after the emptying the next day, and then place the next bin from 6 p.m. for the following day.
And if someone is not at home, then the neighbor takes the bin with them or brings it there. It can be that simple.
