That is more the neighbor than the garbage truck. And you only know after the house is finished. Yes, main road, flight path, railway track. Not just a single garbage truck there. You are talking nonsense.

I can confirm that. I planned my bedroom facing north and away from the street. Now the neighbor starts his car every day at 6:00 AM right in front of my window. You can no longer hear the street because it's constantly trafficked, but you hear the neighbor daily.

The neighbor built after me.

If the remaining rubbish bin area in the event of a reduction of the storage space is sufficient for the required number of rubbish bins, you are welcome to enter into negotiations with the co-owners about a proportional purchase. The city is no longer the owner of the plot and has basically no objections to your project.

Very unbureaucratic and accommodating.
What do you want to use the piece of "border area" for then?

With us, the birds are already singing 2.5 hours before the garbage truck arrives. And they are even louder. Damn nature, totally unhealthy.

That depends a little. If they agree to a standard pickup scenario and accordingly only see a need for 3 tons at the same time and behave similarly in space requirements as, for example, what I found from the city of Freiburg (240-liter bin 130cm depth in the parking space), one could even consider applying for a change of the building window and placing the house along the north side, because only a few square meters would be needed.
