There used to be a three-sided courtyard on the property. It has been almost completely demolished. What remains is a cellar basement driveway ramp of a barn in the rear area made of sandstone, which I currently still call a potato cellar. In winter, great as a sledding hill! :p Quite damp but a good, stable climate inside. In the long term, our fitness room will go into those 15 sqm, currently we use it as a storage room for tools, etc. When we bought the property, there was a lot of construction debris and garbage inside, no door. There is still quite a bit to do on the building fabric but there are a few months until construction starts (repointing, repairing stairs, new screed, small photovoltaic island system, fireplace).
Huh? A ramp to nowhere (or does the barn still stand?) you want to leave standing and create a fitness room in the bunker below with a fireplace?
In the area of the biotope, I integrated a slide into the slope, set up a play structure with swings, created a nice sandbox and a small fire pit.
Another fire pit? That would be the third one, right? Ever heard of CO2 and climate protection? ;)
If we get the bungalow with the property from the neighbor, there will be a man cave and a workshop inside, in front a pool with a sauna house. My girlfriend wants to grow lots of flowers and fruits/vegetables. By now I have planted at least 10 trees :D It should become nicely green and provide a home for many animals.
What? You are remodeling a cheap house from the drawer to save money but just casually buy the neighbor’s bungalow for fun?
...because the neighbor also uses the driveway and we still need to agree on how we will handle that in the future
That should probably be settled first.
I also absolutely want to clad the upper floor outside with natural larch wood horizontally, I like the Erzgebirge country house style – but the prices for wood still have to drop significantly. If there is still money left then, I’ll also install a photovoltaic system on the roof; the preparations for that will be there. Let’s see how prices and supplies develop.
Money left *laugh*? Sorry, but all that sounds to me still pretty – how do I put it nicely – “optimistic.” Especially your budget of 17K for the outdoor facilities seems quite modest to me. I’m curious to see how it goes on.
