Unfortunately, you can't see from your site plan how the house is positioned, how the terrace should be, how the driveway is, etc. You might be able to figure it out, but honestly, I don't always feel like doing that. Plans are not oriented north, no north arrows on the floor plans, etc., so you have to familiarize yourself with each plan again.

Oh, I see. I kept the wooden staircase and mostly stayed with the standard except for a few things. As a tip, get an expert on board. Ideally from Wilsdruff. A top one in his field.

However, that is not a predicate. Heinz von Heiden is not the best general contractor, but affordable. The standard was good 9 years ago. The same as with our GC, also based in Hannover. Also quite modern, not old-fashioned. All painter work is by the builder, but doable. If you want to save, it is all possible. You just have to know it. You don't see a strike plate. A strike plate is on the front narrow edge of a door leaf or rather a door frame in the area where the latch is recessed into the frame. Do you mean the outer vertical door handle? I definitely wouldn’t choose it long. It has disadvantages, while the “short” one has advantages. Visually it doesn’t matter anyway. You don’t see it.

: I’ve now taken the trouble once again and pulled out all my Paint skills that I have. Hope it’s clearer this way. Only the architect from Heinz von Heiden can do it better.

: I have a building expert at work. I work at a large real estate company with its own handyman service :) But yes, such people are definitely worth their weight in gold if you’re not familiar with the subject. They know exactly where to look. This is what our staircase looks like, but straight:

I mean the strip that is there where the door lock also snaps in. You can see it when the door is open, and I find the continuous one more attractive than without.

Yes exactly, that is the strike plate, as you described it. I'm just surprised (you can read it): I find it totally subordinate and unimportant as long as it doesn't serve security. … and now I actually had to take a look at my own door because otherwise I only deal with other people's doors, since it simply doesn't stand out!
